What is your hearts desire?
"Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved."
Two things stand out in this passage of scripture, Paul’s desire and his prayer to fulfill his desire.
The first row in the auditorium of our people sits our family members – our wife or husband, and children. Our second row is filled with our extended family. The third row and the rest of the auditorium is filled with our neighbors, fellow co-workers, and the remainder of the American people.
Paul’s desire was displayed by his continual prayer for his people’s salvation.
Our desire will be displayed by our prayer for our people’s salvation. Are you praying daily for your people to be saved?
What if you do not have the desire for your people to be saved; begin to ask the Lord to give you His desire for your people’s salvation as you pray daily for their salvation. God answers prayer that is according to His will and fulfills our acts of faith with His power (1 John 5:14-15; 2 Thessalonians 1:11).
May God give you a zeal and the knowledge to help people meet, know, and follow Jesus.
