Revelation 22:10-13 And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11 Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy." 12 "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
Do not seal up the words of the book of revelation means that they are to be understood by each believer who reads them. Daniel did not understand revelation he was given and asked the Lord for understanding. The Lord told him the revelation he had been given was shut up and sealed for the time of the end (Daniel 12:8-9). The end is near with the coming of Jesus and the book of Revelation can be understood. It is not sealed or shut up.
Jesus tells us that we are to not focus on stopping the evil doer from doing evil or the filthy from being filthy. We are to focus on being righteous. We are made righteous by repenting of our sins and believing the gospel. We live righteously by obeying the commands of Christ using the power He has given us (Romans 6:16; Ephesians 3:20). Our primary job is to combat evil by living and proclaiming the word of the Lord (Proverbs 28:4; Matthew 28:19-10; John 15:5; 1 John 3:24).
Jesus, the Creator God, is coming to judge the world with justice (Revelation 20:11-15). He will bring recompense to all who have sinned and not sought pardon by repenting and believing the gospel. No unbeliever gets away with thoughts and acts of sin.
